Yes I stole this from NPR. I have a secret passion for science, health and history and I can't go a single day without reading all the latest developments on these topics. I wish I had the determination to spend my entire life on one mission, not knowing if I would ever make a scientific breakthrough. I can't imagine the feeling of discovering the god particle... or a vaccine that can prevent cervical cancer... or even just finding a crazy new species in the rain forest. Here is an article I read yesterday that will not affect our lives in any way, but I thought was pretty cool. 53 million years ago, Antarctica was covered in PALM TREES! It was a tropical paradise. Blows my mind.
