How lucky am I to have this funny little girl with me during all the rainy days. She loves me no matter what condition I'm in or what outfits I put on her :)

the most beautiful baby shower
I was so so happy to celebrate the future baby girl of some of our sweet friends. I couldn't imagine any better parents. This little baby will be so blessed. PS this shower was amazing!! The momma-to-be didn't want a party that was too "babyish" so a family member threw this elegant cocktail party. Great idea I think!

San Antonio Riverwalk
This weekend we made a short trip to San Antonio for a baby shower. I didn't have many expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. Lunch on the Riverwalk was so nice. The main thing Dallas is lacking is a body of water near downtown, it really adds so much. I want to make an effort to plan a trip, even a day trip, every couple of months. Having that escape is priceless!

Sorry
I am so sorry that I was gone. The truth is, I have felt terribly uninspired and just .... not myself. Too many real life things have been circling around in my head, pushing out any space for my little blog. Thankfully, the onset of the holidays has renewed my spirit. I am feeling hopeful and happy. I also realized that I need this blog. I need the outlet. I hope you can join me once again.
Bye bye Thanksgiving!

My favorite city in the world
Paris. Whenever I watch movies or tv shows with scenes of this city I always catch myself smiling. I love everything from the language, the food, the beauty of the city, the darkness of its history, the smells, the crazy politics, the art, and the Parisians. I was an international studies major and french minor in college so I decided to study abroad in Paris for a semester. I lived with a french family with three young kids who knew way more about the world than I did at that time. I would do anything to be able to go back and relive those six months and truly appreciate everything the city has to offer. I remember being so annoyed at my daily commute that took upwards of an hour from the suburbs where I lived to my school near the jardin du luxembourg. I was in PARIS. What could I have possibly complained about? Oh, youth is wasted on the young :)
